Rights of Students

The students in all school shall enjoy the following rights, in addition to those right provided for under relevant laws, subject to limitations prescribed by laws and regulation: 

  • The right to receive primarily through complete instruction, relevant quality education in line with national goals and conducive to their full development as person with human dignity. 

  • The right to avail of school guidance and counseling service toward making decision and in selecting alternative fields of school work suited to their potentialities. 

  • The right to have access to their own school records, which shall be maintained and preserved in a confidential manner by the school. 

  • The right to expeditious action not exceeding thirty (30) days from receipt of request by the school, the issuance of official school certificates, diploma, transcript of record, grades, transfer credentials and similar school documents or record.  The right to publish a student newspaper and similar publications and to invite resource person during assemblies, symposium and other activities of similar nature. 

  • The right to have free expression of opinions and suggestions and to avail of effective channels of communications with the appropriate academic and administrative bodies of the school. The right to form, establish, join and participate in organization and societies for purposes not contrary to law. 

Responsibilities of Students

As students in San Bartolome High School, students have to comply with the responsibilities to ensure that the school remains a safe and neat place for everyone.

  • Students must comply with the discipline code enforced in the school. This can be found in the Student Handbook.

  • Students must cooperate with the activities, events and obey to the prevailing rules given to them during each sessions.

  • Students must wear their complete uniform inside the school.

  • Students should show respect to other students, teachers, administrators and other school personnel.

  • Students must maintain cleanliness and order inside the school starting with their own behavior.

  • Students must keep the name of the school free from disparaging causes and activities.
